Marco Mei has published his playlist for his show this Saturday. Scientific Sound Asia Radio is an English-language electronic music station, DJ agency and promoter for India, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Sri Lanka and the rest of the Asian region.

Having close to three decades of experience, Marco is an Italian DJ and producer. In his younger years, he cultivated a keen passion for Afrobeat, Reggae, Funk, Disco, early Hip Hop, and the rise of electronic music.

A few years later, in the early nineties, he started his career as a Disc Jockey. In his early days as a DJ, he performed at different locations throughout Italy.

Marco honed his skills through regular performances at various festivals and clubs around the globe, where he had the opportunity to perform alongside well-known DJs such as Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon, and Sander Kleinenberg.

He began his career in the early 2000s with a residency at Pacha Club in Sharm-El-Sheikh. As his popularity grew, he started touring internationally, showcasing his talent at prestigious venues like OBS (Saigon), Fuse (Brussels), CE' LA VI (Taipei), Shore Club (Hoi An), Bangaluu (Berlin), G-Star (Pattaya), Woobar (Bali), and Global Dance Moscow, among others.

In 2009, Stefano Ugliano (also known as 6884) joined forces with a friend to form a production duo, leading to the creation of Bicycle Corporation. Their combined skills in the studio led to the release of over 50 tracks and remixes following their establishment.

Having received a warm reception in the House Music scene, these tracks have been played by many well-known artists. Marco relocated to Taipei, Taiwan, in the early 2010s and frequently entertained audiences at different clubs and venues in the city.

Marco is one of the talented DJs and producers associated with our online radio station and our DJ Agency. His weekly program showcases a diverse range of music genres such as Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica, and Techno.

DJ Marco Mei opens with the lush electronic textures of Bicep’s "Apricots" and flows seamlessly into the nu-disco brilliance of Gerd Janson & Jacques Renault’s “Never Saw Never.” The set captures a warm groove early on with soulful and funky house cuts like Demuir’s “Lusting U” and PBR Streetgang’s “Late Night Party Line.”

Moving deeper into club-focused selections, Marco blends in minimal/tech house vibes from Dub Clap and Federico Grazzini’s rework of “Feigenblatt.” Deep house tracks by Sis and Coeo add a smooth sophistication, while indie dance moments from Jepe and Zimmer introduce dreamy atmospheres and analogue synth warmth.

As the episode intensifies, the energy picks up with acid house twists from Paranoid London, progressive flair via Latour’s rework of “Blue,” and the pulsing melodic drive of Space Motion’s “Make Me.” Steve Bug & Youandme’s techno roller adds edge before a funky finale with Bottin and a reworked Philly soul classic by Johnny Vicious vs. M.F.S.B.
