Marco Mei has published his playlist for his show this Saturday. Scientific Sound Asia Radio is the English language electronic music station, promoter, and DJ agency for India, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Sri Lanka and the rest of the Asian region.
Marco, a DJ and producer from Italy, has almost thirty years of experience. During his adolescence, he developed a strong interest in Afrobeat, Reggae, Funk, Disco, early Hip Hop, and the emergence of electronic music.
Fast forward a couple of years and in the early nineties, he embarked on his journey as a Disc Jockey. During his formative years as a disc jockey, he played at various venues across Italy.
Marco's constant appearances had him honing his skills at numerous festivals and clubs around the world, where he shared the stage with renowned DJs like Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon, and Sander Kleinenberg.
During the early 2000s, he secured a residency at the Pacha Club in Sharm-El-Sheikh, and as his popularity increased, he began performing at various renowned nightclubs worldwide. Some of the notable venues where he has showcased his DJ skills include OBS (Saigon), Fuse (Brussels), CE' LA VI (Taipei), Shore Club (Hoi An), Bangaluu (Berlin), G-Star (Pattaya), Woobar (Bali), and Global Dance Moscow, among others.
Subsequently, in 2009, a production duo was formed with a friend Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, giving rise to the birth of Bicycle Corporation. Their collaborative abilities in the studio resulted in a wide range of releases, with over 50 tracks and remixes being published since their inception.
These tracks have been warmly welcomed in the House Music scene, receiving numerous plays from renowned artists. Marco now lives in Taipei, Taiwan, where he moved to in the early 2010s, and regularly performs at various clubs and venues in the city.
Marco is a member of the talented group of DJs and producers associated with our online radio station and our DJ Agency. His weekly program showcases a wide range of music genres such as Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica, and Techno.
Marco Mei’s next mix kicks off with Indie Dance gems, including Parla’s ‘Le Paradis’ and Zombies in Miami’s ‘When Your Time Has Gone’, setting a deep yet uplifting tone.
