Marco Mei of the Italian duo Bicycle Corporation has announced the tracklist for his upcoming show on Scientific Sound Asia. This electronic music station serves Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Sri Lanka, and global listeners.
Marco Mei, hailing from Turin, Italy, has been a disc jockey for over thirty years. His early years were marked by a deep connection to Afrocentric music and the evolution of electronic music.
His journey began with crate digging in Turin's record shops and performing at the early rave events in his home city. Together with his friends, he organised events under the Urban People banner across Italy's budding electronic scene.
After a decade, Marco secured a residency at the renowned Pacha in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt, which propelled him into the international spotlight. This exposure led to performances worldwide, including at G-Star (Thailand), Fuse (Belgium), Room 18 (Taiwan), and many other venues.
He has shared stages with notable artists like David Morales, Roger Sanchez, and Sander Kleinenberg. Marco and Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, formed the duo Bicycle Corporation, releasing numerous tracks spanning Deep House, Tech House, French House, and Techno.
Their debut release was with 17:44 records, followed by releases on labels such as Suka, Alchemy, and WL77 Groove Traxx. Currently based in Taipei, Taiwan, Marco Mei continues to play at regular events in the city and has performed extensively across Asia and Eastern Europe, including Roots Taipei with Murphy Kin.
His weekly show features a diverse range of genres, including Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, and Techno. Tune in on Saturday, 15th October 2022, from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT) and catch the repeat on Wednesday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
