Marco Mei of the Italian duo Bicycle Corporation has announced the track list for his next show. Scientific Sound Asia is the Asian electronic music station for Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Sri Lanka, and globally.
Marco Mei originates from Turin, Italy, and has been a disc jockey for over three decades. In his formative years, he grew his musical tastes around Afrocentric music and witnessed the evolution of electronic music.
His youth revolved around crate digging in record shops around Turin and attending and performing in the early rave events in his home city. With his companions, he started to do events under the banner of Urban People across the budding scene in Italy.
After a decade of doing events, he got a residency at the globally acclaimed Pacha in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt and shone as a disc jockey gaining notoriety. This led to him touring the world and performing his art with prowess.
He has performed across the globe at venues such as G-Star (Thailand), Fuse (Belgium), Room 18 (Taiwan), Arcan (Vietnam), Bangaluu (Germany), SOS Supper Club (Indonesia), NLO (Belarus) and many many more. He has graced the turntables at events internationally with heavyweights such as David Morales, Justin Berkman, Roger Sanchez, Sander Kleinenberg, Harry Romero, Ralph Falcon and many more.
After his residency, he and a mutual friend Stefano Ugliano a.k.a 6884 combined their production skills and formed the duo Bicycle Corporation. As the pair melted together they they had a flurry of releases and have released well over 50 original works and remixes.
Their first release as a duo was with 17:44 Records and they have had further releases on labels such as Suka, Alchemy, WL77 Groove Traxx, and many more. They have many releases spanning genres from Deep and Tech-House to French House and Techno.
These days, Marco resides in Taipei, Taiwan where he relocated in 2010, and plays regular events across the Taiwanese capital. Before the lockdown, he travelled extensively over the Asian and Eastern European region, performing at clubs and venues regularly, including the regular Roots Taipei with Murphy Kin.
His weekly show features a broad selection of genres including Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica, and Techno. He is available for international bookings through our DJ agency for Asian-based artists.
