Marco Mei, one-half of the Italian duo Bicycle Corporation, has unveiled the tracklist for his next show. Scientific Sound Asia, the leading electronic music station in Asia, serves listeners across Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Sri Lanka, and beyond.
Hailing from Turin, Italy, Marco Mei has been a prominent DJ for over thirty years. His journey began with a passion for Afrocentric music and the early days of electronic music. As a teenager, Marco immersed himself in Turin's vibrant music scene, crate digging and performing at pioneering rave events. He co-founded Urban People, contributing to Italy's burgeoning electronic music scene.
In the early 2000s, Marco secured a residency at the renowned Pacha Club in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt, which elevated his profile and led to global touring. He has since graced the decks at esteemed venues such as G-Star (Thailand), Fuse (Belgium), Room 18 (Taiwan), Arcan (Vietnam), Bangaluu (Germany), SOS Supper Club (Indonesia), and NLO (Belarus), alongside luminaries like David Morales, Roger Sanchez, and Sander Kleinenberg.
Following his residency, Marco and Stefano Ugliano (aka 6884) formed Bicycle Corporation. The duo has released over 50 tracks and remixes, with notable releases on labels including 17:44 Records, Suka, Alchemy, and WL77 Groove Traxx, covering genres from Deep and Tech-House to French House and Techno.
Now based in Taipei, Taiwan, where he relocated in 2010, Marco continues to perform regularly across the city. Before the lockdown, he extensively toured Asia and Eastern Europe, including regular slots at Roots Taipei with Murphy Kin.
Marco’s weekly show features a diverse selection of genres, including Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica, and Techno.
